@engifineer - we also are playing some material by Lettuce. Adam Deitch - OMG! Just a filthy groove. And to drive my drummer crazy we'll play "Cissy Strut" too.
Jerry- the last members tee time was 230 today. I went over at 210 figuring I'd play behind him. There was a gap so I started on the back instead. Grabbed a cart (we're not supposed to, but none of the leadership was around). Teed off at 220 and came off the course at 4:03. Shot a 42/42. Pretty happy.
I think a few of us are playing Monday afternoon, and I have one more USGA Member Day I'm playing on 11/3. That's likely it for me until the spring locally, and I'll play when on vacations coming up in Antigua, Cabo and Florida.
Here's two of the par 3s on the course.

The second par 3 looks like it has some teeth.
short, you're wet. long or left you're in the woods.
Right you're in the bunker, other than that it looks pretty easy assuming you can put on a slope.
I was supposed to work today but there was a total of 41 players all day - so I got a text to not show. There was one guy early to get setup and 2 guys to close up and get carts ready for tomorrow (15 full groups between 830 and 1045) - so they put bags on carts and line them up for the morning guys to just pull out of the barn and line up by the putting green.
However, the assistant is going to help me with a quick swing evaluation. Maybe he'll see something to help with the driver. I'm headed over around 2:30. He also published the schedule for all of November - and I'm not working any days, so I guess my days are now about doing things around the house.
The first pic is the 14th. Plays around 170 over a little stream, then a pond - you probably need to carry 120-130 to safely get across to the fairway/approach area.
The second pic is the 7th and plays 125 and it's all carry - maybe 5 yards between the front of the green and the creek. Long left is a problem, long right is the 8th tee box (and more of the creek that wanders back there.
I missed a short par put on the 14th yesterday and parred the 7th.
I saw that the other day in my feed Gene. I've played 2 (Pebble and Baltusrol). I played Bethpage Blue (so that doesn't count). When we were in Nova Scotia, the drive to the Cabot area would have required another 3 days on our trip to make it worthwhile so I skipped it, and when we were in the DR I played near Punta Cana, and didn't go to Capa de Campo.
I actually like some of the other lists they put out - Top public in each state, etc... that provide a real list of what you might get to.
Brandon Dunes, Kiawah and Pinehurst are resorts (and probably others too) that are possible for a golf trip.
My cousin is out on LI with an extensive network. There's a chance one day to play Shinecock. I also met someone locally who is very well connected and interested in helping with my event. So something else in the NJ/Philly area (say, like Merion) is an outside possibility.
I've been to Merion and Oak Hill for pro events and was a volunteer at the 2003 PGA Championship at OH.
Side note- For my event last year, I sent a letter to the GM of Pine Valley looking for a donation. He actually called me back (everyone else I sent a letter to, I got nothing, period). He called me! He told me that they don't do ANY charity certificates, either directly by the course or by members directly. Their members don't want that so they don't allow it. So, its guests only with members. I guess if I knew a member who donated 3 guest rounds to play with him, it would be possible, but I don't any- so oh well.
