Hello Lainey and all you other New England Vintage people,we have been spending the past week in Ocean Park,Maine. It was so hot here today, fri 22nd
100 degrees fahrenheit. We would have spent more time in the water but it was so cold that you could lose control of your functions if you went in too deep. The lady who owns the cottage went out and bought an air conditioner for our bedroom. Anyway hope you folks are keeping cool, see you sometime down the road. Oh by yhe way the people were very friendly, the area is beautiful and the lobster..........sorry i mispelled it lobstah! good. Dave and Jo(hab fan).

Jo! Maine isn't usually that hot. Not fun!

We're still at 99 with feels like temp of 108.

Our flowers were looking pretty wilted when I got in from work. Did some watering for about 45 minutes and was red faced and HOT when I came in.

To David and Jo (Hab fan):

I grew up in Biddeford Me so you are hanging out in my old neighborhood. The water never really gets comfortable in that area but I hope you are enjoying yourselves anyway. Get yourselves some good fried clams while you are there.

Ambitious! I took out some recycling an hour or so ago and though it had "cooled" down, it still felt like a sauna out there. It's 87 now.

I think you all hate me by now but I'll post it anyway. The high was 82F here. Rode my bike 30 miles, came home and opened the slider and french doors to my fountain. There has to be a reward for the California high prices of property and this is it. Of course, in August and September, I may be the one about having 100F while you are all enjoying nicer weather.

I'm confused (no big suprise there)! Yesterday it was 97 degrees in Cleveland and the National Weather Service puts out a "Dangerous Heat Warning". Monday I was in Pheonix and it was 111 degrees in the shade and no such warning. Does the NWS think people in the east are stupid and can figure out it is hot?

I got off the plane Wednesday and needed a jacket. The high 90's felt cool after the desert!

Phoenix wasn't especially hot, relative to what it could be, at 111F. And wasn't it a little drier than your Cleveland 97F?
