It was brutal here in Northern Virginia. 103 on the temp with a heat index of 113*F

True, but toss in the humidity, or high dew point or whatever they call it, and I think 99 degrees might not feel the same everywhere, but it's darn hot....

Believe it or not I just heard on the radio that Newark, NJ, at 108*F, was the hottest place in the nation today.

102 in Lewes yestersay. Heat index in nearby Easton , Md. was 122, a record. Bad again today, going to our beach hoping for an offshore breeze, if not, out of there. Relief coming tomorrow. Dropping down to the high 80's. after storms come through. Stay hydrated and stay inside in the A/C.
