Dirty old man.
Hey, I think this qualifies me as a dirty old woman. I was sitting at a red light (the normal way time is spent in my town
) and a troop of high school boys, all shirtless, ran by. All very young, and still on the small side, but tight male bodies, nonetheless. Mm mm mm.
Oh, so as not to be totally
here's a recent hummer photo. Took it on January 18, 2009.

While ironing shirts this AM, I was watching the Science channel. The program was on the praying mantis which Matt and I really like to observe. Anyway, I was so surprised and disappointed to learn that they eat many things! Snakes, mice and HUMMINGBIRDS!
The snake looked not much bigger than a large earthworm. But since the praying mantis can change its colors and comes in many shapes, some of them look just like the plants on which they stalk their prey! This one photo had a PM that was totally white and looked like part of the orchid petals. Since the HB is the smallest and lightest bird, it was no match for the PM. The desert PM is over four inches long and easily caught a mouse!
