That's a bad ass incision and 29 staples if I counted correctly. Maybe you need a nice tattoo to work around that scar when the healing is done? I toyed with the idea myself, but your incision is much more impressive.

I'm not a big fan of tattoos but that's just crying for

"Bad to the Bone"
I'd try it with sharpie or henna dye first though.

Lainey, can you take the picture, blow it up and frame it for Patty?

Oh wow, Patty. That is some incision. Makes my head incision look like a baby. I know my scars are pretty hard to find after about a year. I hope that one fades out as well. Are you wearing a sling or something?

I am not wearing a sling and it's great that the arm feels better than other pains that have presented themselves. I am typing with both hands with my left elbow at my side. The bruises are fading on my torso but my left arm is still very bruised and very swollen. I've not been icing it enough. The doctor told me the scar will be ugly. That's okay. It doesn't concern me.

I know after a car accident or some other trauma, other issues can show up later. My left groin seems to have a muscle pull and lifting my left leg hurts in the front and hip area. It's my most painful issue now and makes it hard to roll over in bed more than the left arm does. I have a creeping skin feeling on my right thigh. It feels like there are muscles right underneath the top of the thigh skin that are spasming, causing the feeling of a scraping of the skin that moves gently around the thigh for a minute and then stops. Weird shit!

I don't know if the oxycodone is causing any of this. I started the oxycodone at 2 pills every 4 hours on Friday, and have progressed to 1 pill every 7 hours this morning with ibuprofen mixed in.

Patty do you have any of he freezer pads. like this
Amazon Amazon

get the big one, maybe the mid size too.
it helps a lot. just put a thin towel or microfiber between the pad and the skin. they are really cold.

I ordered
 this one this one
on Amazon and it's coming today.

Between my two neighbors, I got a nice collection of 5 packs that worked great yesterday. The pains change around and the worst one now is the left outside rib pain when trying to get a deep breath. The arm swelling has gone down.

It's going to take time Patty. Just keep icing and we hope you are feeling better soon.

I'm learning about that taking time thing. My excitement for the day was to take my two trash cans down to the bottom of my driveway and drive the .6 miles to get my mail. I'm going to really top it off with a cherry on top by taking a shower today.
