Congrats !!

I quit on Nov 19th after 28 years. We could probably exchange notes but what I've found so far:

- I still want to smoke! I was hoping that desire would go away on the other side of the "hump" but either I didn't cross that hump yet or there is no hump but either way I still have a desire to smoke, sigh, I guess that is the way it goes;

- My breathing got better almost immediately. Any wheezing I had was gone within a week or so;

- Taste and smell havn't noticeably changed. Maybe if I smoked indoors I would notice a bigger change;

- I haven't so much "broken the habit" as learned to ignore the nagging and ever-present "solution" to whatever ails me at any moment.

Continued good luck with it; I hope you are managing well. Smoking is a dead end that leads nowhere.

On day 11 here.

The villagers are becoming increasingly wary of me as I stalk them menacingly from the edge of the forest. The next time that little bastard that delivers the paper shows up on my porch in his Batman cape I'm pushing him off the edge. He's Batman! Can't he fly?

WHAT ARE YOU LOOKIN" AT???????

^^And that is what quitting smoking feels like to those who have never done it.

Uhhh, still not smoking.

Keep going folks, it is worth it - and yes there will come a time when you won't have to give it a second thought.
