I was Wrong
You know, Park, now that I think about it some more, in all my years, I don't think I've ever met a man who has uttered the words in your title. The headquarters for Perdue chicken is located in Maryland and one of the father and son's slogan is "It takes a tough man to make a tender chicken." Well, in this case, I'm saying "it takes a tough man to make a tender statement." In my book, you bees da man! (for that title statement alone)
Just thining out loud (and marveling).

You're right about that, Flats, but sometimes we seldom hear either. Present company excluded, I'm sure. Now you've got me curious. Am I way off base here or do you guys utter either or both phrases a lot to your +1s? And ladies, how often do you hear either or both? Maybe I'm not living in the today's world anymore. Straighten me out gang.
+1 never says he was wrong. I hate it when he attempts to apologize and here's his stock phrase: "I'm sorry if you misunderstood what I said or I'm sorry you took me wrong." Excuuuuuse me, what the HECK kind of apology is that? You're sorry that I, I, I, misunderstood YOU!!!!! that's when the fur flies and I get
no, more like
actually more like:
. However, I do hear
that wonderful, I love you phrase fairly often, so all is always forgiven and he gets a nice big
. Otherwise I'd have three or four S cars and a porsche or two in the garage as he attempted to pay appropriate penance for any misdeed that he did that I "misunderstood."

We're also business partners so we admit we were wrong to each other all the time.
