Yes, good game for the Caps. The Pens D looked slow & indecisive, for some reason.
Think that in hockey, if you don't bring your A-game, every night... you can look very foolish. Like minor league players versus NHL --- no matter if you won a Cup (or two).

Wings won 3 out of 4 in their west Canadian swing. Certainly more fun seeing them win than lose but even in their loss its ok if they show effort.

We made it to round 9 shoot-off tonight before registering our second OTL. We are trying to catch Boston who already has 4.

Went to a tournament today to watch a friend's grandson play . . . it was in Troy, MI, 90 miles away. The Colorado Springs Tigers were playing Arizona. It was 18U AAA. I am not sure what that mean's... but it was senior high school level play by really serious players (the grandson has not even lived at home for a couple years while in training just to play in this league). OMG, a great game. These pimple faced kid's played so fast it was unreal. The wife and I really enjoyed it. Thinking about our own grandson when he played in pee-wee, it was impressive to see what might have been. As I understand it the AirForce and some Canadian teams are looking at this youngster we went to see. His family lives in South Dakota and we've known them before they got married; last time we saw this kid he was 7. Special night; he didn't know us from Adam but it meant a lot to us. I love this sport!

"OTH" game tonight. Old Time Hockey. Great fun to watch. Wings beat Flames 8 to 2 with several fights! Give's us 20 points, which are needed. I see the Caps and Kings are doing fine, but BOS & MTL are even a couple points behind us. Maybe that's why there's not much talk on this thread as yet. Go Wings!

^ It wasn't for the fight, it was because he was already off the ice and came back on it. He was leaving through the door off the ice, and he did not realize it carried the same 'rule' as if he went over the boards. The fine cost him 80-85k; 1/12 of his small (by hockey standards) annual salary. God knows the fine/suspension did not fit the crime.
