Time to get serious.
Glad to read this, Jerry. Welcome aboard.

Since I have been lazy about going down to the gym, this should work at least some of the time.

Good for you, Deb.

But I had a good session at the gym. About 40 minutes of the interval class. Some weight work with bursts of cardio activity, (not too intense) then a Zumba class with a different instructor, who was a little more aerobic than our usual instructor. Fun class.
I had a stress test today, so I got in an extra 10 minutes of cardio at the medical center.

And how did that go?

Ok, I guess. During exercise they got my heart up to 150 beats per minute. The cardiologist noticed my heart skipped some beats at that elevated rate, but he thinks I'm fine and said I'm also ok for exercise. I guess a little arrythmia at elevated rates is not uncommon or dangerous, but what do I know.

Dropped another two. Been a long time since I've been under 190.

I'm very frustrated this morning. I was very cautious about my diet yesterday, worked out a lot and then had another slight gain this morning. Back to 181.

I think that you are doing very well, and I don't think that you need to feel frustrated.

I think that what is important is the long term trend, not just what happens day to day.

I rode 5 miles on the beach near the surf yesterday. It took me an hour as the sand was brutal to ride on. Deflated tires was the only way I could get anywhere. My heart rate never dropped below 140. I was soaked with perspiration. Great work out, then I had to inflate the tires and ride 10 miles to get home. Lost 1.5 Lbs. Rest day today.
