Default iPhone GPS Apps

I'll be getting an iPhone soon and wanted to know what GPS apps people use and recommend.

Any suggestions?

Jim

A new one for your phone banks are starting to back is one where you can turn on and off your credit card. Cuts way down on theft. You can also designate the card only be used for certain purchases (like gas if you give a card to your kid) or only usable if your phone is within a few feet.

In addition, phone GPS apps require a data connection, whereas a dedicated GPS has all the data built in. Therefore, using a phone as a GPS, unless you have an unlimited data plan, could cost you quite a bit. my2¢

I have a Tom Tom Via 1605 with a nice big screen. No advertisements like other brands. I like the dedicated function of the thing. It clearly gives you lane guidance and other driving features you cannot get on a phone. I paid $160 at Costco. There is an antenna built into the power cord so you get traffic updates. I can store all my favorite destinations in it or use its data base for stuff on the road. Its the best app going.

I have a droid, but CoPilot is a good one. It downloads all maps to local storage and only relies on GPS.

Jim, I've used Google Maps from time to time, and it works fine for me. Except for that tiny little screen.
