iPod touch
I think that if the people that didnt like or think they dont like an iphone/itouch actually used one for a week they would go and buy one. There are over 75000 apps for the iphone/ipod touch. One of my favorites allows me to control my canon camera wirelessly from across a room. Onone dslr pro is its name. You can check it out at this link http://prairiefireproductions.com/20...lr-remote-pro/
Another is the VLC remote control it allows you to control the vlc media player wirelessly which is great if you have a laptop like i do with hdmi out and you want to watch a movie on your tv or give a presentation. Another cool app is one that you can place your laptop down and use your ipod/iphone as the mouse. There are thousands of cool apps for it. Its not just for talking on or listening to music. It is also extremely fast and since its an apple product it does not crash
For the record this post is from my iphone.

Patty,
If you are already with AT&T, why not get an iPhone? AT&T will subsidize a large part of the equipment cost.

So, I have to see what's available but I'm like Sue. I don't want the fancy stuff. A phone I can use and maybe this time, I'll get one that does email.
I do have a cell phone because my +1 thinks I should have one in case of an emergency.
I can count the times that I have used it, though, on one hand.
The first time that I tried to use it, I couldn't even figure out how to turn it on. Seems that I wasn't pressing the "on" button long enough.
Oh, and don't ever leave me a message on my cell phone because I don't know how to retrieve the messages.
I probably won't even answer the phone if you call me because I keep the phone in my purse but I probably wouldn't even recognize it if it were ringing.
When my mother was ill and I was constantly taking her to a doctor or hospital appointment I purchased a Palm just to keep track of all the appointsments - current and future. For a busy person I can understand carrying a electronic calendar and phone numbers. After she past on, the Palm went on the shelf.
My watch went on the shelf when I retired. Only wear it when flying....... cause the planes are always on time.
As for a cell phone, I use a prepay and only turn it on in an emergency for outgoing calls. No one has the number unless I'm traveling; in which case I may leave it on.
When ever possible the wind in top-down mode is my music. An old fashion radio when it rains is fine.
As for electronic stuff, the damn pc gives me enough grief - I don't need any more.
I guess I'm out touch............... but that's ok.

First, let me state that I am NOT a Luddite. (Although knowing the meaning of the phrase dates me.)
I carry a company cell phone for after hours support of our production system. It's from 2004 and I have no interest in an upgrade, other than becoming important enough that I don't have to carry a cell phone. What the @#$% do people chat about while driving, walking down the street, sitting at a table with other people in a restaurant, taking a dump in a public restroom, etc.? Not to mention the dorks who walk around looking like a character for a Star Trek sequel.
I suspect that the cost (in time) to peruse the 75,000 apps would greatly exceed the total value of the apps I might find interesting.
In short, I (like BuckeyeSue) just don't get it.

I must admit, though, that I do like his laptop which he usually takes along with us when we go on trips. It is quite handy for me to make sure that I stay caught up on the several forums that I read, including this one!

The first few times I had someone call my cell phone I didn't know how to answer it. It's taken ages to get the hang of the one I have. I hate learning how to use new gizmos.
