[QUOTE=Lainey,May 15 2009, 01:46 PM] They gave me no choice of color on the sling. I woke up wearing the black one.

A long time friend picked me up, we ran an errand or two and had lunch.

I'm trying to decide what to tell folks who ask what happened to me.

1. I'm old and my tendon wore out/tore

2. Well, we were swinging from the chandelier and.......

3. Bad economy. No+1 by my side on an outing with the grandkids (he had to work the Saturday) and lifted one kid one too many times.

Should I start a poll?

Patty hope you are improving today. Takes a few days for sure. Surgery=controlled injury. Gotta give it some time.
I'd go with 2. So what's wrong with black? It's slimming after all.

lainey lainey lainey

here's your story.

" let's leave it at this, you should never try double blacks on an icy day with dull edges "

who's to know...

or
" Have you ever had a big gust of wind nail you just as we were popping the mainsail?"

or
" the cops said I was crazy to tackle a guy that big, but you know me....but I really can't say anything about that becuase of the gag order"

Thank you! Thanks again to everyone for the support. I was REALLY anxious over the whole surgery deal, and all that it, and the recovery entailed. Truth is, it's not been all that bad. The surgery center staff was excellent, I had the doctor I wanted, and any pain was minimal. Even the sling isn't more than an annoyance. So many folks deal with so much more every day. Time to count my blessings, and send to all of you.

So, Ms. Lainey, are you back at work today? Did you get a lift in or drive yourself? Are you still taking some pain pills?

I'm thinking I'll drive my RAV4 to my final Digital Photography class today. I haven't attempted it yet but it seems like it should be easy enough with an automatic.

In the words of Fernando Lamas aka Billy Cristal, "My dear...you look mah-vu-lus."
