Thanks. In spite of doing well. I'm feeling now. I just went out to my car. I can barely fit behind the wheel of my Jeep and my arms aren't long enough to reach the gearshift. Looks like I'm bumming rides for 4-6 weeks.

Thanks for your concern, Jerry. Obviously if something dire happened to me the boss would have to find someone to do what I do and life would go on. It's not that I love my job, but the longer I'm out, the bigger the mess gets. The arm is well protected in it's sling and I don't do anything physical. Rick went back to work quickly after his surgeries with the understanding the sling be worn at all times, no issues from the doctor. I won't do anything stupid, I'll take all the time I need for PT and I can arrange my time at the office to fit my needs.

Now to arrange my rides.......

 

Well you've met one now. I was a complete fool twice!! I was back to work two days after both of my shoulder surgeries.

What a moron I was (and still am for the matter)

 

I went to work all day right after a 7 AM vasectomy. I wouldn't recommend that to anyone either. I guess I've changed the topic?

Lainey, I'm glad to hear you're feeling well enough to be off the pain meds during the day. It's only been one since you got screwed. :snicker: It's sweet that you and Rick miss each other in bed. It'll just make it that much better when you can sleep side by side, again.

 

Two days??? I would not have considered that. I was very diligent with the icing and post op instructions. You are a real tough guy!

Rick took about a week each time and the doc was amazed that he wanted to return to work.

I know rotator cuff surgery has changed a great deal over the years as far as how invasive the procedure is. That probably has something to do with the fact that the patient feels able to work, but the arm still needs the time to heal.

 

Well I say you fall in the tough guy category. I never had a vasectomy though, so I can't say for sure.
