Probably not. The doctor said I'll probably need them for the rest of my life. That's one of the reasons I'll give them to myself. I just learned this morning that my little daughter in law has been on B-12 injections since she was a child and has to have them regularly. Things could always be worse. I'll be fine in no time.

What a pity!

Seriously...get well quick. And try this for desert some time:

1/2 c plain yogert
1 c fat free frozen yogert
1 bananna
6-8 large strawberries
4 oz fresh squeezed orange juice (optional)
blend until smooth. serve in chilled mug

A little rich, I admit, but I did say desert.

They don't call it "pernicious" anemia for no reason. It requires continuous but relative minor maintenence.

Now this is what I call a Vintage Thread.
Anyone mix up a good poultice lately?
What's your favorite ointment?
Ask me about my plantars fasciaitis.

Sorry to hear about the health problems Darlene. My friend getsthe b-12 injections. He has an ostomy bag and his body can no longer metabolize b-12. Took his doctors about 6 months to figure this out. He said it made a huge difference.

Okay, I'll bite. Hey, LB, what do you know about plantars fasciaitis?

I can tell you it hurts like hell. I had to make a major lifestyle change when I developed it. I had been playing in an Ultimate league, but it got so that 10 minutes of running would make it so I couldn't walk the next day. This is still the case.

It's from buying cheap shoes.

I can attest to how much it hurts. Had it in a left heal for essentially one summer. Thankfully it left (following treatments, shots, etc.) as quickly as it came.
