Ok so it's been six weeks or so since the surgeon played in my left knee and installed my new ACL.
So i figured I'd drop and update.
first the visual evidence.
This was a few days after.
and now.
I gotta say I'm delighted and frustrated.
I'm delighted at how well it has gone so far.
First, it was relatively free of pain after the first two weeks. ( the drugs were very effective during the tougher period)
I have a very high degree of mobility and flexibility.
The knee finally feels stable again.
I'm hitting the stationary bike for 30 minutes a day and getting ready to bump that to an hour as well as raising the difficulty level.
I'm frustrated becuase I know I can't do a bunch of stuff yet to give the transplant more time to get incorporated as my tissue.
but it's ok, I am SO looking forward to swinging a golf club again.
Skiing is deferred until next year, but again no complaints.
soon I get to start running and get to start burning some of this flab belt I've been wearing of late.
Jerry, seems like a good time of year to work up your strength. You wouldn't be golfing anyway, would you? Skiing, well, yeah, you are missing out on that.
The important question though, can you drive your S? Oh, wait. Nevermind. You probably had to put it to bed, right?
