That was the last good year for them, wasn't it? I have a friend, who I have not seen in few years, who has had one since new. I think the price of those has gone through the roof by now. The new ones remind me of an MGB.

Buy a 1957 Chevy. There are plenty of them around, many in very good condition. Parts are readily available. They ride like sofas so your wife's back problems shouldn't be a worry. And, they still turn heads everywhere they go.

If not the Chevy, buy a 1957 to 1959 Caddy.
