Yes, that offer still exists and I of course bought it. I almost LOL since that brings my current stash of their oil to 14 bottles.

I'm the same way. I have more bottles than I will ever use plus their equipment is so good I don't know why you would need to extend the warranty for home use. Well I just jinxed myself with that statement!

I ended up buying a trimmer today. I bought the ECHO SRM-230 2-stroke. I'm going to go give it a whirl.

I have a Stihl weed trimmer for when it rains on the parched Four Corners soil. But I understand they don’t normally use any motored devices for trimming their weed-s here in Colorado.

My ECHO weed eater started first kick, or should I say pull. I did a decent job of it after mowing. I probably should have had a real lesson or read the directions first, though. Where does this thing cut? Trial and error. The throttle takes a little practice, too.

A few years ago we bought a highly rated by Consumer Reports four stroke Honda line trimmer. I’ve used Echos in the past. It’s nice to not have to mix the oil and fuel for the two-stokes anymore. It comes with a shoulder strap and that really helps balance the weight. Starts easily, even after sitting for several weeks.

Mixing 2-strokes could not be easier these days. Buy a one gallon can of gas and a 6-pack of measured oil. It takes a lot of use to use up 6 gallons. Then repeat. I use the same 50:1 mixture for the leaf blower, weed wacker, chain saw, etc. Patricia, I agree the 4-stroke are heavy. And Jim, those special weeds probably take more care!

I just bought a gallon of the premixed fuel. It was worth it for me for the trimmer.

My bigger lawn. There's a smaller one out side of the walkout basement.
