I think he should have thousands of hours of community service in the humane society. Feeding, walking, bathing cleaning up their cages of the dogs and pets in the kennels with out homes.

It is disappoimtimg to think that the NFL has lowered their standards this much. Seeing how many fine upstanding individuals that won't make it into the NFL and they are allowing him back? It should not be allowed. I understand that he paid his debt that was owed to society but I also think that the NFL has made a huge mistake on this. All pro sports players should hold themselves to the highest of standards as they are role models for kids to aspire to. Would anyone love to see their son or daughter say I want to be like Michael Vick? I doubt it.

I think this sums it up. Kids look up to those who play sports. Some even call them heroes, which I disagree with. However they are often role models, and this guy is no role model.

He has paid his debt and if a football team wants to hire him for a coaching position, or a job that is more "behind the scenes" fine, but not as a player. Just my opinion of course, yours may vary.

I'm just glad the Bills didn't sign him.

1- Given a second chance doesn't mean entitlement to return to your previous profession and job. Many excons depending on their offense and profession are not able to return to their old job. They have to find something else to do.
2 - The NFL has a moral conduct code that allows them lots of wiggle room for disciplinary actions. If they choose to reinstate him it's all legit and by the book, however they will have to accept the protest and fall-out whatever that may be. In a free society we can all voice our opinions. When it 'hurts' pr wise and serious money becomes involved, ie: sponsors pulling out, then ideals are conveniently compromised it seems.
3 - Many (most?) players and coaches agree to the 'second chance' idea, just not on my team! Hmmmmmm

On a personal level and as a fan, I would not like to see him play for my team (go Giants!).

^ The +1 was saying last night (after watching that charade on 60 Minutes) that he wouldn't be surprised if fans throw things at Vick when the Eagles go to Giants Stadium. They are rowdy up there.

Oh, by the way, it's not just the cruel executing of used up dogs from fights and training. Go see 'Dogtown' episode on Nat Geo of the Vick dogs that were rehabed, your opinions may change

I used to like Tony Dungy, but now I've lost respect for him. Glad he's no longer with the Colts.

I am an avid NFL fan, and nothing will ever change that. The NFL is one of the most powerful entities in the USA. Look at what it does for Vegas, and what Vegas in turn does for the NFL. I mean seriously, when Tank Johnson got in trouble for shooting someone the first time, it was DURING the NBA All-Star game. It had nothing to do with the NBA, but guess who got blamed - the NBA!!

The NFL is powerful, and has a pretty good idea on what they are doing and they are not going away anytime soon.

As for Vick, he paid his dues...He's not the first to commit this crime and won't be the last. If you don't think it's a society thing and that it happens everyday - look around...It's happening as we speak right now.

I am a dog lover, owner and it makes me sick to see this stuff happen. But please don't think he did this because he's an NFL player, and I personally believe that he now know's what he did was wrong. Tony Dungy is the best thing that ever happened to him...
