My mac will not let me open the download, saying it is a unidentified developer.
We tried; thanks Gene. Just posted the issue on MacRumors.com which I believe has the best support forums, as far as I know.

There is a work around for the 'unidentified developer' but I would have to look it up.

Summary of Issues trying to load any Word Program following a drive upgrade to solid state.
> The latest macOS software my 2011 iMac will accept is 10.13.6.
> Microsoft will not activate Mac for Office 2011 due to its age even with an install disc due to the age.
> Libre Office requires macOS 11 or higher.
> Pages requires macOS 12 or higher.

SOLVED IT! 
I was able to open "Open Office" thanks to a suggestion, and easy work around, from a member at the macrumors site. So now I have all the MS word type stuff ... text documents, excel sheets, etc.
