Ah, Granny. You might want to edit your last sentence about your brother. I think you need an "R" instead of a "D" in there.
Ohhh, Lain. Leave her be. She knows him better than we do.

It's an old joke, Lain. When I first bought the S, my brother was so in love with it, he wanted to keep it nice, clean and shiny for me and used the only thing he knew to use on the dash, which was Amorall. Well, the guys here had a fit and said we should never use that particular product on the car anywhere. So I killed him and told the gang "of course he's dead now" and Matt thought that was soooo funny, he never forgot it, and when Matt came to visit, he was introduced to my dead brother and they both got a big chuckle out of it. Ever since, my car guy has been known as "my dead brother". He said if he ever gets a handle here, it will be "Dead Brother".
Ok Granny. You scared me there for a minute.

Since I'm taking a plane I don't have to pack the S but if I did I would be sure to bring some special pillow for my head and at least one knee pillow. I have to make do with the hotel pillows this weekend. Any one else particular about their pillow?

I have one of those seat back bolsters that inflate with a squeeze bulb. I love the thing. It goes between the seat frame and the leather insert, so no one can see it. It really took the stress off of my back.

I prefer to bring my buckey pillow on trips. With limited space in the S, it may stay behind this time.

Well although I'm not coming out for this meet, preparing for the road is something I do often. Between driving schools, trips out to race tracks to watch, trips to Toronto, and all the other great escapes I make in a year, I have learned for me there is one thing that make the difference. The lists! I make lists of things that must be packed and things that must be done before I go.

I have taken the art of list making to such a science that I have pre-made lists that I just print out prior to certain events. You see many different events require unique packing, and yet there are always some common things regardless of the destination. I used to be the kind of guy that always forgot something when I traveled, I have turned that around and often now I'm the one people come to at the track to ask "do you have some duct tape?" "do you have a tie-wrap?" do you have any extra paper towel"? do you have a 12mm box wrench?"

Doug, great minds think alike. Actually, I think it comes from doing track events. Here's my general all purpose list:

CHECK OFF LIST FOR TRAVEL PACKING

□ money
□ map directions, if driving
□ plane tickets, if flying
□ prescriptions - filled
□ booze
□ haircut
□ cleaning bottle & cloth for glasses
□ sun glasses
□ heavy coat
□ light coat
□ rain coat
□ hat
□ swimming trunks
□ digital camera - charged
□ movie camera - charged, if need too
□ shower clogs
□ sweat shirt / pants
□ cut-offs
□ tennis shoes
□ palm for phone #s - charged
□ palm charger, if needed

travel bag:
□ razor & shaving cream
□ tooth brush & tooth paste
□ shampoo
□ soap & soap dish
□ prescriptions
□ sun tan lotion

□ cell phone - charged
□ towels & blankets, if needed
□ x-shoes, if needed
□ ear plugs / track ticket carrier / stop watch, if going to the track
□ leave phone #s where you can be reached
□ leave pet instructions

CAR CHECK OFF

□ full tank gas
□ oil changed
□ tire pressure checked
□ Rain-X windshield
□ wipers good

In fact I just went through it all, since I am leaving Thursday AM with stops along the way.

I've been thinking about getting a GPS recently except it's hard to justify $500 for the limited traveling I do these days but looking at my road course through parts of PA makes my wish I had one....... here's just portion of the route:

257
322
80
970
322
53
350
99
453
22
522
641
997
533
11 ............ all those different routes within 4 hours time. I need a copilot.

Marilyn is....................

We've stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn, Knoxville on several occassions. My younger graduated from UT Knoxville in May. As a result of our many visits and points gained and Marilyn enjoying the bed....... we recently got a new matress....... so I wonder what our purchase will be after the visit to this Hilton.....
