I'm in a bind. I found a couple of MC-S that almost fit my wish list, and got great price quotes nearly 3K off list, which is pretty good for Mini's.
The dk silver w/ LSD (LSD is discontinued, no longer made as of this month) that I really want has a standard stereo that's pretty bad! The only other LSD w/ Harmon Kardon stereo is Red w/ sport suspension, not really what I want but I think I could live w/....do I give up the LSD or the stereo? How easy is it to add door tweeters up high and upgrade the amp/ speakers? Seems a shame to be cutting into a brand new Mini. Any good audio shops anyone can recommend in lower westchester/ southern CT?
How important is the LSD in real world driving? I'm thinking w/ 4 season commuting it'll be real helpful in snow/ rain on the Meritt Pkwy where most of my driving will be. My driveway is also like a 'trench', easy to get stuck in if I don't have enough speed.
Final alternative if I get the 3K discount, is to build one exactly as I wish, w/o LSD.
Waiting 2 months not an issue.

LSD? Isn't that still illegal? I live in California. Is pot legal?

 

I'd guess it would be a whole lot easier to add the stereo than the LSD.
Might even be cheaper too.
although putting 4 good snows on will be much more important than the diff will be in the winter.

 

That's my other thought - if I'm not rallying, do I really need the LSD? If I'm going w/ snows (I intend to), it may be something I'll never need. The car will have Dynamic Traction Control. Any BMW folks out there familiar w/ their system? I know BMW's are RWD so it may be apples to oranges...
