Now we go went back to the middle patio and continued work on the other side of the pit of doom. The retaining wall of the lower patio flows into a single step (lower patio to the grass), the step flows into the face side of the pit of doom closing off the middle patio

It took me a while to see where all that work to-get-out-of-yard-work was going. Boy, it sure made a difference in the end. Looks great.
