What are you doing sitting? You're supposed to be working on finishing up that room.
I'm waiting for sunset so I can get up in the attic without being parboiled.

Lucky you (all)...what an adventure (and what a beautiful daughter). And lucky Anika, having parents who introduce her to the larger world in such a fun way. She will probably grow up a camper, picking up skills along the way that will serve her throughout her lifetime.

Clearly you had a nice camera along; how did you protect it from the elements - like tipping over?
I have several dry bags, one a heavy rubber one, and 2 smaller nylon ones. The camera is kept in there at all times. No exceptions except while taking pictures.

Ah ha. A little spice for the night?
If you recall, I had a goatee back at the first Spring Fling. I shaved it off for Virginija's birthday that September.

I'll get rid of it after the next vacation, probably.

Nice pics!

In my case I'm singing it every time I cross the Spoon River in West central IL. I can never resist it.

Spoon River, wider than a mile-imeter,
I'm crossing you in style today.......

Beautiful pictures! Thanks for posting them. If I could have a kid like Anika, I'd have 12 by now. What a great vacation. You have the ideal life, my good man . I am green with envy.

By the way, I can't think of "Moon River" without thinking of the examination scene from "Fletch"...never fails .
