Default More Power!

I am currently running a Vortech with Aftercooler and the S2K dyno's at 326whp which is really a blast to drive.

I love high performance and I been researching going Turbo for some time. Well I have a local tuner professional installer that is well know for Honda racing and drifting (James Evans) Shop called JE Import Performance.
On April 21, the S2000 will go through a Turbo upgrade and will get the following modification:

- Percision GT35R Turbo
- Custom Manifold
- 4" downpipe
- Front Mount Intercooler
- HKD Super Sequential BOV
- Tial Wastegate with Dump Tube
- 2 mm Headgasket
- Honda Data 3 bar Map sensor
- AEM EManagement with UEGO
- Boost Controller
- Fuel Pressure Gauge
- 680 cc Injectors
- Battery Relocation kit with Sealed Battery
- Oil Filter relocation Kit
- Heat Shielding
- Custom Matched 4" Single Exhaust with Muffler
- Greddy Oil Temp Gauge
- Greddy Air / Fuel Gauge

- 3 Hours of Dyno Tuning to produce 450 - 500 whp
Additional modification will be made later to the brakes and rear.

BTW: Diane thinks I am CRAZY!!

Diane and I spoke at Gettysburg. I was telling her Rick recognized you when you pulled into the hotel. Not by your physical apperance, but by the wheels on your car.

I think it's a guy thing.

Guess there will be some looking under the hood at SF.

Enjoy your new toy.

Billy, Sounds like you're going to have one screaming machine there. What you doing with the supercharger set-up? Levi

Billy,
I'm really interested in the turbo route. But Dean was telling me last month that the turbo might make it unacceptable for exhaust gas requirements in many states and counties. Do you know anything about that? I'm gonna want to talk to you about this in WG.

As it stands now I have a buyer in Florida that has agreed to $3500 Shipped which includes: Vortech with Aftercooler with Documentation and all parts less the Fuel Pump.

I have not heard from him in a week or so but I will let you know. BTW: its still under warranty has only 7K miles on the System.

As for the emissions, You are correct S1997 it will not pass. There are ways to get thru but I will explain in person.

If Harris County has a visual inspection, you will not pass regardless of what you do. Also, if they check the OBD II functions on the ECU you won't pass unless you're using a piggy-back -- like the Greddy Emanage Ultimate, for example.
I suspect that Harris County doesn't have a visual or an OBD II check, so you could get by with leaving the catalytic converter in place (which I would do anyway) and running the Greddy EMU.
Another thing I would consider before going turbo is the type of driving you do. I would be hesitant to install one if the car is going to be used for long distance drives (like driving from Houston to Fruitland Park non stop in a diaper for example ). Heat produced by the turbo over prolonged periods may cause problems.

He had to stop for gas, probably twice.

But yeah, dissapating the heat is going to be the problem. Maybe you should wait to see if anything ever comes of the Jackson blower.
