Question The Most Powerful Diesel Engine in the World

This would have to be the ultimate mod for a drag racer.

The Most Powerful Diesel Engine in the World

It'd prolly make the S understeer like crazy though.

Well, based on the following, each cylinder is displacing almost 1000 times the displacement of our little S2000!

"The cylinder bore is just under 38" and the stroke is just over 98". Each cylinder displaces 111,143 cubic inches (1820 liters) and produces 7780 horsepower. Total displacement comes out to 1,556,002 cubic inches (25,480 liters) for the fourteen cylinder version"

and when you're behind the wheel of your automobile and trying to get around all the suvs and semis on the highway, you can never have enough power either, right?

It becomes something of an issue when you go to fill up the tank, though.

I just responded to an e-mail from a friend that passed me on the Washington Beltway today while I was cruising at about 70 MPH (keeping up with traffic on the "Suicide Circle" ) He tooted his horn and waved as he went by in his Envoy.

My response: Yep. You may have been flying as you went by, but I was getting 33 MPG at the time. (That is the mileage that I generally see on trips with Mobil 1).
