I went to get my FL driver's license (stop 1) and plates (stop 2) yesterday, and it was spooky.

For one thing, none of the other cars in the lot was at all like my S. For another, the number of people that the DMV people was requiring to take hearing tests was, um, more than I'm used to (say what?). And for yet another, there was a waiting line for the handicapped parking spots.

I think that Palm Beach County is already Geezerville. I reckon I'll fit right in, someday. HPH
Give yourself a few months Doc, you'll be wishing they made them all do a peripheral vision and touch your chin to your shoulder test.

Just get ready to go into defensive driving mode big time and never trust white buicks, you'll survive your first season unscathed.

Wow, you must like them really young. Is he old enough to drive, or do you have to take him everywhere?

Gee, I'm sorry I missed all that, but you know how it is: we geezers don't stay up very late.

And maybe there aren't any Country Buffets around here, but there's a Cracker Barrel down in Deerfield Beach. They seem to have plenty of Jello, along with their cheese. HPH
Hi, Dr. C!!!! You got out of Santa Fe just in time. It snowed in the mountains last night. It has gotten pretty chilly in the mornings and evenings, but is very nice during the day. I'm surprised at seeing the snow covered mountain tops already though. I guess I'm glad I'm headed back to the Blue Ridge in a couple/weeks. I will be sooooo glad to get food that is not laced with chilis.

Before you head back east, be sure and drive up to the Santa Fe ski area; a weekday would be best, as traffic will be lower. This time of year, it's just spectacular. HPH
