This is crazy. If that Monday night fiasco doesn't end the lockout then nothing will.

Unless the fans boycott, and stop buying tickets, jerseys, watching the games, the owners have no incentive to settle.

If they give in now, it will be 10 times worse next contract negotiations.

One way of looking at last night.... yes, its a shame for that call, but on the other hand, GB should never have left Seattle stay so close. Hate to see it come down to one play, because you are just rolling the dice and could get screwed (even with regular refs).

I've only watched a couple Lions games and Steelers games. Frankly, they did very well in those games.

Saw a replay of Monday's call - bad call made extremely bad because they let it stand. But, it's only a game.

I don't feel a bit of sympathy for the bookies. ^^^ I agree, it is just some men playing a child's game.

It started out as only a game, now it's a multi-billion dollar business. People's careers & livelihoods are dependant on the outcomes of games (general mgrs., coaches & staff, stadium staff, hotels, restaurants, etc.). The season is only 16 games, the outcome of one game could make or break a season for a team & determine wether they make the playoffs or have home field advantage. I've been to Green Bay, a large portion of the local economy is derived from the Packers.
The NFL is one of the most popular & successful organizations in the world. I don't know the full details of the contract issues, but the replacements who are doing their best, are way out of their league & can't keep up with the speed & intensity of the pros. They need to resolve this ASAP. Just like most services in life you get what you pay for, quality & integrity are what matter.
I am not crazy about the way the "game" has evolved over the years (can't stand many of the cocky, show off atheletes), but I admit, I hang on every play of every game of my favorite team & spend my money at a few of the games---so I reserve my right to complain.
