No Cal fires & PG&E :(

It's supposed to be 72 degrees F here, in Lake Forest, California tomorrow verses 29° F in Loveland, Colorado, tomorrow. I think I'll take advantage of the 72 degrees and ride my ElliptiGO here in SoCal tomorrow.

This is a video of a helicopter rescue during the Woolsey fire. (This is the fire in the Malibu area.) As an old helicopter pilot, I can really relate to what these guys are thinking/doing!
Jerry MA, I know you can relate to the rescued dog towards the end of the video.

The fires have actually created a haze here in DC!

See that is a smart dog. screw you, I'm not getting in that, it makes a lot of noise.
and he jumps just like a mastiff.
if you want them to jump up, they have about 4 inches of vertical.
but if they are playing? they can leap 3 feet like it isn't there.

We lost two German Shepherds in the desert for two nights and three days and used two different helicopters to get them. The old one, Whiskey, was okay getting in it but the younger one, Vector, took off and wouldn't get in. We caught him and drove him back to camp, though.
The #WoolseyFire in Southern California has left a scar on the landscape so large that it is easily visible from space.

Patty It reminds of our first black lab. it was barbs first dog an we had Kita for about a year and half.
One Friday night during a snow storm she went for a romp. The hours wore on and she didn't come home.
We checked with dog control. nuttin'. Poor Barb was beside herself.
We had just about given up Monday morning when it was time to go to work.
Barb said to me "it's like I can hear her." Oddly I had the same thought.
I opened the back door and saw Kita bounding through the snow, across the Cul de Sac.
The only thing we can figure is she got stuck in some one's garage and it finally got opened Monday morning.
