Default And now an annoying squeak...

So after spending stupid money for one shock and an alignment, my S2000 has developed a squeak when I go over rough surfaces. I can't tell where it is coming from. It sounds like it is in front of me. I hear it when the car is being jostled a bit from side to side. Yup. They are getting old.

Yep...new shocks (actually, coil-overs) were also recommended for me, but I'll wait a bit for them.

I would have waited, but the "clunk" was driving me crazy. The squeak is even worse.

I never believed in replacing just one shock. I always replace in pairs. In fact, I just order a pair today along new bolts because my left front was leaking.

All shocks were inspected, only one went bad. I'll check the front end, but it doesn't sound like it is coming from the suspension.

Squeaks come from funny places.
It took me a long time to figure out my throttle pedal squeaked when I released it quickly in my e550.
drove me nuts for a long time.

Discount parts providers get about $250 for one shock. $371 is list price, as charged by my dealer. They pretty much double the price of the part for labor. I negotiated the price down by about $150, but still...
