Thanks, for info! The hummingbird has gone... prolly Northward on his migration. Guess I need to wait for the return migration, later this year.
BTW... for how long is the artificial nectar good? Seems to turn to wine, rather quickly in this heat. Hate to have the little fellas get drunk and crash, from the stuff.

PS those dunes are amazing. I too would like to know where they are and how hot was it on your run?

In response to your flower critiques - it all depends upon the individual. It’s the same with art...some like Norman Rockwell and others the works of Oscar-Claude Monet or extreme contemporaries like Cleve Gray. I’ve observed that your photography is more of a straight forward with detail being paramount, with mine…an artistic flair is attempted (and sometimes much falls into bokeh). There really is no right or wrong.
Personally, I like the rose photo.

I think Layney is strong on color and composition as well as the mechanics of capturing detail.
Sorry, Lainey...didn't mean to pretend to be a critic. But you know how it goes...Those who can, do. Those who can't critique. I don't know art but I know what I like (and why).

Thanks, all. Comments (honest ones which you do give) are appreciated. It's how one learns. I see pretty things, I like to take pictures of said pretty things. I don't believe I have much of an artistic flair. I count on Mother Nature for that.
