Not bad Sue. I've seen this hawk near my office and today I was in the area and had my camera. Could not resist when I saw him.

That’s an ugly bird!
Nice catch.

Here's another shot. Posing and pretty. The first photo I posted was when he/she had enough of me and my camera and he/she was getting ready to fly away.

Thanks!
It's actually a Red Tailed Hawk according to MA Audubon, The markings on the belly indicate this. I don't know my hawks, but I do know I saw one flying over my house again today. Feeders are quiet.

Still way too quiet at my feeders. I miss my birds! I went duck hunting with my camera. I found an American Wigeon! This is one of the ducks MA Audubon says to look for in the winter! It visits for the winter, then goes back to Idaho, North Dakota and Montana to breed. Pretty cool Neat looking duck.

I love the hawk Lainey. Well done.
Today we were able to identify one of our hawk visitors as a Northern Harrier. He/She is not the only one to visit our garden. Our birds were back today after an absence of several days.
We don't have any ducks on the lake - far too cold. (Lake St. Clair)

Following are two of my favorite photographs of little kids with their enormous dogs - gentle giants, both of them. The photos are not mine…they were taken by Andy Seliverstoff, an astonishing photographer.

I'm surprised your feeders aren't getting more visits. February is National Bird Feeding Month. Maybe your birds didn't get the memo.

That looks like a Dane to me. Do remember that the English Mastiff was one of the breeds they used to make the Great Dane. I love both the breeds and would get one (or more) any day if life's pattern allowed it.
