Thank you, Dave. I love it!

^NASA's Spitzer and Hubble Space Telescopes have teamed up to expose the chaos that baby stars are creating 1,500 light-years away in a cosmic cloud called the Orion nebula.

Nice, Patricia!

I was in a local gift shop yesterday on the waterfront. They have seen some of my photos on local media, suggested I bring in a few to sell on consignment. I may bring in a few copies of the lobster vessel coming into port or other fishing vessel photos I've taken. It won't cost much to have a few prints done and put them in mats. They have a decent selection of this type of thing already but told me the tourists that do come in like purchasing local photos which are easy to pack in a suitcase. We'll see.

Lainey, that is cool!

And, I will be able to say, "I knew her before she was famous."

^That's great! As a person who looks at that kind of thing I would want larger than 8 x 10's but a size that is easy to buy a frame for once I got it back home.

My thoughts too! Maybe 5 x 7 as well!

Patty I read this wrong the first time...I too would want lager than 8 x 10, but maybe I'll just have a few 8 x 10's printed, mat them and see if anything moves.

Thanks for the kind words, all.

I think I'd try doing a couple larger sizes, say 17 x 21, rather than the typical 8 x 10.

You know I too like the larger photos. My granddaughter has an 8 x 10 in her room of the lighthouse stair photo, and I was there the other day and thought it needed to be bigger. My matting skills and supplies are limited, and I don't want to venture too far into the unknown..maybe I'll go with an 11 x 14, and other assorted sizes...the gift shop has lots of fishing vessel and local photos for sale. I don't expect anything much of this, or anything to happen too soon, but it might be a fun project for me. I've looked at the selection, some are way better than mine, some about the same skill level as mine, and maybe some a little below. I do keep in mind that it's not professional photographers purchasing these photos...so I will look for something that has decent composition, color, and catches their eye...oh and a straight horizon line is a good thing to have as well....
