I'm checking into Interkultur for a combined Montmartre/Les Invalides tour after our arrival. Probably will wing the rest for that day. The last day of the cruise is also in Paris, and we have Notre Dame that day, and I think Sainte-Chapelle, also.

That photo makes me want to join you on the trip! Hopefully, it has not changed much since you (we) were there. Loved that scene.

Deb, that is a neat photo of you getting your portrait done.

Do you still have the portrait?

This photo of yours truly having her portrait done was in the Place du Tertre.

(and you could spend a month in the Louvre and still never see everything) If you like oysters (and seafood), while you're in Paris go to L' Huitrier at 16 Rue Saussier-Leroy in the 7th arrondissement. Well worth the trip, the price is reasonable and the seafood is excellent. They're a restaurant attached to a seafood market or a seafood market attached to a restaurant. Either way, it's hard to beat. The last time we were there, Lapine had closed which was a shame. It was a place to go if for no other reason than to add to the collection of currency from every country in the world that was thumb-tacked to the ceiling. There's also a great bistro on Boulevard Haussmann near the Opera Comique right by the metro. Excellent pub food.

^ Thanks! Will definitely check out L'Huitrier. I am planning to book a private tour guide/car for our arrival day for Montmartre and Les Invalides, the two top sights on my list. Will be expensive, but it is for six hours, so a lot of time. That evening would be good for L'Huitrier. If we are still awake. If not, our last day would be good, also. My plan is ambitious, but I want to cram in a lot since it will be a long time before we go back.

I was going to book the Big Bus, but now I'm reconsidering. Have a lot to cover in a short period of time. Also, there are lines to get into many of the sights. Some companies advertise tickets to beat the lines, but I don't know how reliable those are. I sent an email to the concierge at the hotel for suggestions. May need a private car and guide.
