A few minutes ago I received a P.M. It was a very special p.m. from a very special member of Vintage. I wasn't going to open it at first, but I did. He asked me to reconsider and went on to say a few things that very few of us have the insight to see and very few of us have the good sense to think of. He asked me to reconsider my decision to strictly limit my time here.

I started to tremble a little, and I went back and read through the Damon's thread. Some of you are very, very good friends to me and said some very kind things.

Please be careful with your words. Words are very important to me and I take them very seriously. Maybe you think they're funny, I almost never do. Words are too important to be funny. To me they are. If you don't like what I've written, tell me that, that's fine, but don't try to be funny, it never works. Words are like daggers, they hurt when they hit, and when I throw them back everything gets worse. And I will throw them back when I have to.

I have a lot of very good friends here, and for that I am very grateful. Thank you.

Rob, I just wanted to add that, I would not drive from Texas to NJ for anyone's non- Vintage meet but yours. I'll be there in August!
