Good to hear it wasn't anything more serious than a P1456 Rob. Thankfully, you didn't use a lighter to check for gas leaks. Sorry, you had to use your wipers - I feel your pain.

So, Jim, what broke?
The seals on the clutch slave cylinder caved. It was the weekend, so the local Honda dealer couldn't even order the part until this morning. Should be fixed by noon tomorrow, and I will be back on the hwy.
That does not sound too bad. I've replaced them on an MG and it was straight forward job; hopefully, the high tech Honda won't be too difficult.

Either that or the dash would be lit up like a christmas tree.

Glad you discovered you CE problem and got it fixed, Rob. Sorry to hear about your clutch Jim. I guess you're getting a bit of an extended Fling!

Good story Rob...glad you made it home.

What's the update, Jim? Has the slave arrived yet?

Jim, you mentioned how impressed you were with the guys being there so quickly for you. I was thinking about that on the way home and thought that it gave new meaning to "circling the wagons." They did the same thing to me when I decided to take on that mountain that time. What a great group of folks who look after their own in times of trouble.
