Default Passing the baton.

There are a few thread currently running in which we are discussing our generation, what it means to be our generation and how we cope with the generations that follow. I am thinking specifically about "What it means to be Vintage" and "Clash of Cultures".

In reading these threads I began to think that we as a generation are rapidly approaching the time when we will be passing the baton to the next generation(s). Until that time comes, however, we are the generation in the leadership position, the generation who has the experience and knowledge to share.

My question is this, how do we share our knowledge and experience with those generations who will follow, and still allow them the space to get their own experiences? How do we give them the benefit of the knowedge that we've accumulated and still leave them the room to find things out for themselves?

I think this is important because we want each generation to take the experiences that we had and the knowledge that we've accumulated and go further than we have, yet we all know that every generation has to find things out for themselves.

It has to do with our children, our grandchildren, and all of the younger people who will follow.

How do we do it?
