Peanut Butter Deja VU

Peanut Butter Deja VU
When I was a kid PB was a staple. MMMMMM good stuff.
I haven't eaten PB in years, just kind of lost my taste for it I guess.
But wandering through the grocery store I saw on the shelf Skippy Natural. Not Skippy low fat, not Skippy homogenized, no Skippy super extra chunk.
So I bought one. Opened the lid and inhaled. MMMMMM Instant Deja Vu, this smells right.
I made a PB&J and found even more deja vu.
I give the new Skippy natural PB an Aplus. Now I wonder how bad it is for me.
MMMM

ps my favorite sandwich as a kid was PB, grandma's homemade raspberry jam and a slice of american cheese on white bread.

I have always been a PB nut it seems. I went for many many years with a PBJ sandwich in my lunch bag every day. I love it on pancakes, french toast, waffles and even on grilled cheese sandwiches.
I can remember as a kid my mother used to mix in a little cooking oil (Wesson or whatever) to make the PB more creamy and spreadable. I suppose it's a wonder my Cholesterol is not sky-high now!!

I love PB. I still eat it often for breakfast on toast or an English Muffin. I've never put it on pancakes, waffles or grilled cheese though......doesn't sound too good to me.
I sometimes have a PB and banana sandwich, (not fried like Elvis liked) I know some who put it on apples, and of course it goes well with chocolate!!!!

Natural peanut butter is not necessarily bad for you. I love peanut butter on whole grain toast with apple slices or pbj sandwiches uses good natural peanut butter and allfruit spread with a nice glass of ice cold fat free milk. Some of the peanut butter makes add a lot of unnatural fats and sugar that are not beneficial, but this is an interesting little bit of info regarding peanut butter:

You got chocolate in MY peanut butter . . . No, you got peanut butter in MY chocolate. mmmmm We may have hit on something here. Perhaps we can make a candy bar -- NO, let's do little tiny cup-shaped chocolate shells with peanut butter in it. Perhaps others will enjoy peanut butter 'n chocolate too.
