Went to an empty chunk of beach this morning. Threw out a couple rods, plopped myself down and watched the sea.

I like beach It's always changing yet always the same. It's good for perspective

Amazing.

Over here, "empty...beach" is an oxymoron. HPH

I am fortunate in that my daily commute takes me down US90 along a stretch of beach that is fairly deserted. It's nice driving along the Gulf of Mexico with no condos--nothing but sand--between road and water. And I am often driving into the rising sun in the morning and toward a nice sunset at night.

I totally agree. I enjoy nothing more than just sitting or walking on a stretch of deserted beach and contemplating its beauty. It is always changing and ever amazing.

Virginija, Anika and I took him (along with his lovely wife Susan) to Great Lakes.

Sounds like a nice morning.
