Default Peterson Automotive Museum full tour

My apology if someone had already posted this and I missed it.

In 2018 those of us that attended S2K Days in Westlake Village toured the Peterson. However, we did not go down to the "Vault". For those of you that did not attend, or for anyone that has two hours and fifteen minutes to spend watching this full tour, it is time well spent for any "motor head". I was impressed how well versed he was about the history behind each vehicle, without carrying notes (although some of the vehicles do have a little "cheat sheet" in front of them. Enjoy!!

Thanks Matt, I'll save this one for a 'snow' day.

These are two much shorter tours. To be honest I am not a fan of most of the cars in his collection but I love Tim Allen's candor and humor.

I love that 330gtc it is one of my favorite cars. He used it in one of his Home Improvement episodes.

I love the Petersen (frequently misspelled with an o, it's actually named after its original benefactor, Robert Petersen of the Petersen Publishing group who brought us Motor Trend and a long list of well-known motorsports magazines). The exhibits are frequently changing so it's well worth an annual membership if you live locally. Highly recommend it. Even the video tour linked here is significantly different from what's on display right now. I was just over there again right before Christmas.

It’s one of the Must See places in LA for anyone into cars. My membership allows me to bring guests, so I'm extending an open invitation to anyone visiting the area. Just let me know when you'll be in town.

Full disclosure: the Vault Tour is by reservation only and is an extra fee.

In 2018, Jason Hight and I co-hosted S2KDays SoCal. Many of the people attending the event joined in the optional tour of the Petersen museum on the 4th of July. Not everyone chose to go to the Petersen with the group, some opting instead to visit the beach or enjoy other non-car-related activities in the area. We had 36 people for the general admission and group highlights tour. We had 35 attend the Vault Tour.

It was very enjoyable, and that week was an event I will remember for the rest of my life. It was five full days of awesome. It's an agenda that will never be matched. I'll never forget it.

Wow, doing it in segments of 10 to 15 minutes I finally finished the tour. Unbelievable variety and the vault seems to go on forever.
