My all the time fall back is pretzels - - but they have to be really salty and since the health police have closed up all the really salty plants I buy Sold Gold sticks; best for salt I can find around here. I like to eat them these days with Philadelphia chive & onion cream cheese. Speaking of cheese, I like baby swiss for a snack as well. I'm mentioned before we both love popcorn with tons of butter and salt. Ok, enough disclosure. I won't mention the ice cream. Tonight I did have pretzels/phily and even swiss but I washed it all down with couple rum & cokes so it won't put on any weight. More fun than the gym. Damn, I forgot my all time favorite snack, really salty in the shell peanuts! That's one we save to treat ourselves.

Thankfully neither of us have a sweet tooth. We have a tray of fancy chocolate stuff and a container of sugar frosted cookies sitting on the table that a couple neighbors gave us. Not problem passing that stuff up.
OMG I think we are siblings! One local pub makes great pub chips. We enjoyed some on the deck this summer. Pretzels are the typical snack, lower in fat. We never hit the road without a bag of pretzel rods. Hey the salt is on the outside so it's OK...they aren't really that high in sodium, are they? IF there is a cream cheese and chive dip around to go with pretzels..........BAD news! I generally don't snack on cheese and crackers, but popcorn?? That's a weekly treat, yes salt and butter. Ice cream, I can pass on except for a couple times of year.
I have peanuts in the shell for the birds, sometimes I grab a few.

My granddaughter likes the dill pickle chips, (Ick) and I do know a few who like the ketchup chips, or the "dressed" chips or whatever they call the ones from Canada.

My sister drove a route for Frito for several years. Back in the day the trucks went home at night with the drivers. A weekend at her house was like junk food heaven!

Now, all this said, I went to the gym today. I took a class that involved a spin cycle in timed increments. I didn't like the class. I had to stop and run an errand and gave into the Frito craving. Just a small bag.

I too am not a big fan of ice cream but sometimes it is the only thing left! We always stock it for the grandkids.

The best were Thomasson Wavy potato chips. They were a local company and there chips were the best. They were bought out by another company who promised to keep making them......but they didn't!

I really like Fritos in their BBQ flavour, but they give me heartburn so I can't eat them much. They live up to their name (Fritos = fried) , fried food does not agree with me but I realize all chips are fried to some extent but Fritos irritate me more than others.

I like barbecue potato chips but I never buy chips for just me. I love Fritos and don't buy them. I do have pretzels in the house. I don't feel too guilty scarfing down on those. The trouble is they go really well with Dove chocolates. I'm trying to stay out of that.
I generally always have Ritz in the house. Don't eat them too often, but always keep them around and always keep pineapple around just in case I feel like making this dish (as I ALWAYS have cheddar cheese). You will almost never go to a southern gathering where this dish isn't served:

If you get stuck for how to use the pineapple, you can always fix this southern treat.

With a sandwich I like a nice sea salt and vinegar chip. To snack, Ruffles and Heluva Good french onion dip will do the trick.
