Potato chips....what's your preference
Every time Donna goes to the store . . . same question . . . what do you want me to pick up for snacks? Same answer . . . I don't care, whatever. Today's whatever was a bag of crap!
Fritos Twists Honey BBQ - so bad
Funyuns Onion flavored rings - no one is brave enough to open one
Ruffles sour cream - TBD
Lays cheddar & sour cream - Yuk
Cheetos puffs - great if you like eating air
Cheetos crunchy - not good, what was the expiration date on that family bag?
Lesson learned - say something next time when she asks.

Dave- Yea, that's a nasty list, with the exception of the Cheddar/Sour Cream. I like those, but just like Cool Ranch Doritos - there's a fine line with enjoying them and eating the whole bag and feeling the need to vomit.
Sea salt? Heck, salt is salt.
Large crystal sea (and kosher) salt has less salt per volume than tiny crystal table salt which is denser. US cooking is by "spoon" and "cup" measurements (volume). Metric cooking recipes is typically by weight. (There are no rabbis in the salt mines it's just large crystal salt with no additives like iodine used to prepare kosher meats.) BTW the salt we used at Frito-Lay is as fine as dust making table salt crystals look massive. The cost of the salt on chips was not part of the bill of materials it was so small, it was just a general expense. And the chips all had a kosher designation although no one can recall seeing a rabbi in the plant either.

Rick likes chips with a little heat. Jalapeno pepper chips are a favorite. Today I found Ghost Pepper chips. I bought a bag. I tried one, Not as much heat as expected and it was tastier than I thought it would be. He had more than one and noticed the heat after the third chip.
So there's a store that sells bulk nuts/coffee/spices/etc.. near Cindy's Mom. Cindy was planning on baking this week, so we stopped to get 6 lbs of various nuts when we were there last week.
I like chocolate bridge mix, but try to keep stuff out of the house. Instead, I got a 1/4 lb of Mayan Cayenne dark chocolate almonds as a little snack.
Not too bad, but with a heavy kick at the end. However, I can only eat 3 or 4 before I start to feel my throat getting tight. I'm not allergic to anything, so this was a little shocker.
