Donna this week brought home a bag of Lays original Wavy chips to go with the meat ball subs (my idea; got it from a friend). Better then Ruffles IMHO. She said she couldn't find any cheddar & sour cream (thank goodness). Eating some right now.

I will have to make that. I've never heard of it before but I like the ingredients.

Hope the chips and sub were good, Dave.

We always have Ritz in the house. I use them when I make a cracker crumb stuffing for baked fish or scallops. They are a "to go" snack with peanut butter on them. Sometimes, that's my breakfast on the way to the gym if I have an early class.

I had made a gift bag of snacks for each grandchild for Christmas. I had the crunchy cheetos in Ally's bag. Ally was "this close" to not receiving that snack.

We always have crunchy snacks in the house. Often we have soup for lunch. If I don't have a few crackers with the soup, I want a handful of crunch after. Pretzels, chips cheese its... Fritos and Cheetos are not in the house often. Self control lacks when those are around.

I got a bag of Charles Chips the other day. It is unopened in my pantry but I suspect I'll be diving in today since I'm planning to have turkey sandwiches for lunch. If I'm going to have chips, I prefer Charles to Lay's or even Cape Cod. I'd forgotten about Charles Chips until I ordered a delivery from The Fresh Market. That's the only place here that sells them and they're usually out of stock.

Now THERE'S a memory. I grew up near Cleveland through the '60s and early '70s. My next door neighbors the Taylor's would have tins of Charles Chips (and pretzels) delivered regularly by the Charles Chips delivery truck. We got bargain chips from the A&P at our house.

My son gave me a bag of Dot's Homestyle Pretzels. We have really enjoyed them. We usually devour any good stuff in 2 days or less. These lasted way longer - a good investment besides being good.
