^^^Sometimes I am reminded that it took thousands and thousands of years for humans to evolve from the cave dwelling state and it will probably take thousands and thousands more for us to evolve any higher than where we now find ourselves.

Our tools and our toys may have gotten fancier, but on most days I don't think we've evolved all that much from our cave dwelling days.
You know as I try to envisualize humanities next great evolutionary leap, I seem to find walls everywhere. What if it's a genetic impossibility to imagine it? Or an imposed one?

Actually it's not impossible. The world is causal. If I hit a nail with a hammer, I can predict the result prior to the strike. I may not hit it the same way everytime but it is predictable. I can predict on a macro scale, the sun will rise tommorrow. So far I've been proven right every time.
Jung couldn't prove synchronicity but I still think it's there.

I still think we'll be creating our own evolutionary "leap" through genetic manipulation in our own lifetime. First, out of necessity (disease), and then out of vanity and capitalism.

You aren't predicting that the sun will rise tomorrow, you're assuming that it will based on past behavior. They call that faith.

No it a prediction based on math.
The faith part involves whether or not there is a sun when it goes away.

How would you like to get up in the morning and find that Newton's Laws had all been repealed while you were sleeping?
