I have long stated that if it burns fossil fuel and people race it I would watch it. As a motorhead since the age of about eleven, I did not realize how true that statement was until a few years ago when on a business trip in Eastern Europe. The hotel that I was staying at did not have access to any English cable channels. I found myself watching chain saw racing with German commentary. :-)

I wonder who STIG really is? He is obvisously a very talented driver. Do you think that it could be David Hobbs?

No way. I've met Hobbs. I thought he lived near Road America; I don't recall where.

I LOVE Hobbs but he's just too old at this point to do that job

He also owns a Honda dealership in US and when I learned that I forgave him a little for all the crap he says about Honda on air.

Ellen, thanks for the heads up. It was great to see Louis being interviewed in a setting like that. Everything I'd read about him suggested he was cool and that he is.

Next year's F1 season has the potential to be a good one. Since I just bought HDTV I'm thinking I'm going to have to break down and resubscribe to Speed channel. I got tired of the cable company continually raising the rates at the same time Speed turned into the NASCAR channel.

BTW, I think it's great you are tracking your S and I wish more ladies loved motor sports that involved tracks rather than ovals.
