Racing Performance Header for S2000
These headers are being offered 'below cost' on Ebay for $55.00 + shipping. Does anyone know anything about them??

Headers will give you a minimal H.P.gain;on average,from 6 to 10H.P.
Some may even lose some H.P.
The ones that give you the most gain over O.E.M.are normally priced, between $800:00 and $1600:00.
The OEM is already a very good compromise, and quite hard to improve upon;if you gain on the top end,you will lose in the midrange, and vice-versa.
For that price ($55.00) I doubt very much, that it would be better than your OEM;my $0.02...

I know, headers are expensive. The Mugen S2000 header for the Ap2 is $1650.00, and Rick's header is something like $799. I was just looking in ebay and saw this -- it looks good, so I was just wondering if it were a super bargain or a throw-away.

Broken record here, telling you all once again that most of the bolt on stuff results in zero gains. Honda gave us a 2 or 2.2 litre motor with 240 or 238 hp. It was no accident. Bolt on stuff that makes a Civic faster isn't much good on our cars.
When HP gains are claimed, make sure the gains were independantly verified and that you know where the gain is being measured. Some bolt ons give gains in the mid range or bottom end, before the second set of lobes kick in. That increase is not too important to me. Time and agian, I have seen stock S2000s turn in faster times than heavily modified S2000s at the autocross.
I think a header is one of the worst investments you can make on the S2000. I tried an exhaust and hated the drone so much, I switched back to stock. I never tried an intake, but have raced against many cars that have them. I see no benefit at all.

You've already gotten something for nothing many, many times... my opinion.
