I think you may be right. Last month at the track none of the moded-up Ss were any faster than my bone stocker. But I'm still waiting with Dean for the Rotrex, and then we'll give you a report.
If I were to FI my car I'd go with a turbo. The Turbo will create real midrange torque, which is what the car lacks now. I don't know anything about Rotrex.

Turbo was my first choice, too, Bill. But there is no known turbo kit that will operate properly on a Drive-By-Wire AP2. Tuning is the problem. This new Danish SC is touted as a breakthough in FI. It has had several years of development and testing on track cars, including Ferraris. The initial Honda kits are now being tested on a Fit and on a DBW S2000 in two different versions - a low boost kit and a high boost kit. Kraftwerks is supposed to put the kit on the market sometime in December (2007 we hope). Word is that the base kit (limited to 5 psi boost) produces 300 whp and a level torque curve across the band -- and without the heat, noise, and tuning problems inherent in aftermarket turbos for the pre-DBW S. The system gives increased fuel mileage and power and does not shorten the life of the engine. Another very attractive feature is its small size and simplicity -- it does have an intercooler, but doesn't use engine oil for lubricating the SC, and installation only takes about 6-8 hours, total.

No, Mike, it's not a turbonator!

A few years back I tested an early development turbo that Elda was working on. I was at his CT shop getting my roll bar installed. Does anyone know what ever happened to Elda, it disappeared?

Mine too, but emissions legality, maintenance, and engine longevity issues were the deciding factors for me. That and the fact that my nearest tuner is about one hundred and fifty miles away.
Gears and the Rotrex should give me all the mid-range torque I need to get into trouble.
