I never tried an intake, but have raced against many cars that have them. I see no benefit at all.
My intake solution has worked out very well so far.

If we're on the same page here the "nothing" has cost way more than an SC or turbo to this point.
I've never charged Jim a thing for my opinion. And it's been worth every penny he paid for it too.

I tried an exhaust and hated the drone so much, I switched back to stock.
You bought a crappy exhaust.

After-market vendor Comptech in Calif said the originals (AP1) were so good they went through 14 header prototypes to get one that made better power across the range. Save your money Jim. You must be getting pumped up for the track based on your Christmas shopping for your self.

While that may be true, I have been in many cars with different exhausts and found all of them to drone at some point in the rpm range, including the Comptech, Borla and Mugen (admittedly, very little drone in the Mugen). The only real gain some of them offer is weight savings over the stock system. Some like the sound I guess, but the drone is not a worth while compromise IMHO. Folks can buy what makes them happy of course, but in most cases, buying the bolt on engine mods to gain performance is not a worthwhile investment.

I have the resonated version of the Supersprint and it has no drone. I bought it primarily for the sound and for an increase in exhaust flow for FI. Dropping about twenty-two pounds was an added bonus.
I don't consider any of the mods that I've done as investments. I do it because I enjoy tinkering with the car.

I agree with those who have realized that mods do not add any value. Best case, they don't take away from the value. And, I agree with Bill's point about add on's; it's not a Civic. There's really nothing there to tap unless you want to take your chances with a supercharger or the like.

I think you may be right. Last month at the track none of the moded-up Ss were any faster than my bone stocker. But I'm still waiting with Dean for the Rotrex, and then we'll give you a report.
