Replacing the old pc and I hate it
I am serious, I don't get to read most of the topics on this site unless they are in the site info forum. I'm posting here now just for fun and just because I happened to come across this topic while looking for something else.
Sorry. Unless a topic is posted in Site Info I probably won't see it.

Thanks C. I am so enjoying it. Here's what I just posted in another thread.
btw, there was nothing wrong with the mouse/keyboard that were exchanged; the new one did the same thing... the issue was in the laptop. I wonder if someone in India lost their job after I called back and told them it was still doing it and the next rep told me how to verify it was the laptop.
ps, since when did 'sync' replace 'send/receive' for emails. When win live mail did it. You can't believe how difficult it was to uncover that little gem. Don't you just love learning new software!
Honest to God, you can't believe what this past week has been like trying to get my head around this new $hit.... to give you a quick idea -
- replaced the new mouse & keyboard
- had the new laptop freeze up and had to go back to Best Buy
- had to do a power recycle (remove laptop battery, etc.)
- had two downloads freeze up
- spent endless time doing the steps needed to transfer my OE contacts over (thanks in great part to a menu that was hidden)
- tried iGoogle & Chrome (after a few days, I hated it); just downloaded Safari (so much easier to follow.... makes me second guessing why I didn't buy a Mac)
- and after zillions of hours on this I still have not even attempted to transfer my old files (docs, photos, videos) yet. I wanted to get comfortable with all this new $hit first.
Did I mention I HATE upgrading pc's (especially when my techie buddy's help was all "beer talk" and I have not seen or heard from him).
Got'a laugh. Can't cry anymore.

For those one or two folks still following my saga. I returned the Toshiba laptop today (the 14th day within the 14 day return policy). I should buy a loto ticket. I had no idea what Best Buy's policy was until another frustrating experience had me talking to the Geek Squad today. I am without question going to buy a Mac. Nothing could be as bad as the past two weeks. Good learning experience since I got to try out Win 7, iGoogle, Chrome, Win Live Mail and other apps. Honestly, I did not like any of them. The final straw was when Win Live Mail actually prevented me from opening a word document attached to an email. The same document I could easily open on my iPad. Oh well, like I said, live and learn.
Briefly, what was the biggest problem. The Toshiba, the software or trying to put software on the Toshiba? Or something else? I have read your whole thread, just want a succinct answer if possible.
