Sue, that B-ball game yesterday probably aged both of you some more.

Yeah...goblue just watched the final 10 minutes or so of the game because we were at our grandson's birthday party earlier.

Every now and then, I just checked the score on the computer so I would know whether goblue was going to be grouchy or not...

He was...

Dave, you're a MSU fan, right?

It's not that I don't have a retirement plan. I have a marvelous retirement plan. The problem is that I don't have a quit working plan.

I guess I've always been a procrastinator. But quitting work is hard work.

Anyway, just reporting in. That's my status.
I'm not relating either....do you still LIKE what you do? I'd guess you do or you would be more serious on the "quit working plan."

First day of training my replacement. I'm amazed at how much I know. I talked a lot today...and I'm tired. Payroll gave us a few fits. I still had an issue due to terminating an employee and I'm not a fan of this platform we started with in February. Their customer service is no where near the previous company we used. It was two hours before I got a call back to address my issue. The other company would transfer me to someone else if my account rep was not available. I felt bad for the new person. Not a good first day of training for payroll processing. I'll let her "drive" next week when we process payroll. I think she'll be OK though.

Nine days.........

Yeah, just to balance things out in the house because my son, my two grandsons, and the father-in-law are all die-heart UofM fans.

I had a whole year to teach my replacement and after I was gone he complained about all of the stuff that we hadn't covered. Oops!!

We relate to this. My +1 is in the same place you are but I must say this year he has been seriously talking of retiring.

I always avoid this thread because I thought it would be all about the money, or lack there of.

Some of are doing what we are.
Engineers are puzzle solvers. given our druthers we'd probably still do it.
sometimes idiots step in and try to make it unpleasant, sometimes I think it's because they can't do what we do so effortlessly.
I'm sure there will be a time when it turns into work. that's when I'll sashay on out of the door.
