Return From Vacation - How Do You Feel?
Well, I just got back from 9 days in the sun. A new driving record of 9 hours 50 minutes was achieved thanks to directions from Golden Eagle (thanks Jay 
). It's cold here. I'm pissed. 
I want to go back. 
I'm sitting here in a t-shirt and shorts ready to show off my tan to all the coat wearing Ohioans. But alas, responsibilities await. Time to go pick up #2 son from the evil one. But, this will be a good thing. I missed him.
How do you feel when you get home from vacation? Refreshed and ready to tackle the world again? Depressed and wanting to go back?

The best part about getting back from vacation is.......starting to plan the next one!
We just booked 3 weeks in Europe from 5/18 to 6/10 (son @ semester in Berlin)....1 week in Berlin/ 1 week in Prague/ 1 week via train to Zurich area for a few days with friends in a little Swiss town. The next task: our itinerary for the last week....what to do.....what to see.....where to stay

Most of the time, I'm re-energized and ready to tackle the world again when I return from vacation. My only complaint right now is that I didn't take my usual jaunt out to AZ this month. I need a break like that before long. I might get in a trip to Melbourne, FL if I can swing it. I like to take a couple of trips per year - a week to 10 days each.

Usually we have mixed feelings. When we get home from good vacations we're usually sad that the vacation is over, but we're glad to be home.
We're kind of settled, dug in, and we like being home. Funny thing about home, it's where we live, where our lives are and its comfortable and familiar. Often at the end of a long vacation we feel ready to go home. Returning home is always a good feeling.

After a vacation,(if its' been a good vaction) we are relaxed and refreshed. But once back home, and back at work, that rested and relaxed feeling vanishes within a few days, at most.
I don't think we have ever gone on vacation and looked forward to going back to work when we returned.
We are going to test that theory soon, as we are headed to Flordia for a vaction in two weeks.
